8 week session on Thursdays and Saturdays running October 17 through December 14 (no classes Thursday 11/28/19 or Saturday 11/30/19)

We will offer practice ice (see registration information for details!) on Thursday and Saturday during Late Fall LTS.

A few reminders:

  • We are not able to pro-rate our badge classes.
  • Students can walk onto specialty classes (dance, skating skills, spin clinic, double jumps, practice ice) with permission from Skating Coordinator.
  • Practice Ice is for skaters level Pre-Free Skate and higher. There will be no 1/2 sessions. You can pre-register or walk-on. If you combine practice ice with another LTS class, you receive a further discount. Ice is considered LTS ice and thus ice cards will not be accepted and sessions will not count toward ice show and incentive program sessions.

National Skate Day was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who came out, got free lessons, lots of goodies, and learned about our amazing learn to skate programs offered through NAFSC!

The North Atlantic Figure Skating Club's Learn to Skate USA Program is professionally designed to:
  • Provide a fun and safe skating experience for all levels of skaters, from beginners to advanced skaters.
  • Teach correct technique of basic skating elements.
  • Give participants the skills necessary to either skate for fun or move competently into the U.S. Figure Skating advanced test and/or competitive structure.
  • Promote health and physical fitness.

Group skating lessons are offered during five sessions from September through June on Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings. All classes are taught at Family Ice Center in Falmouth, Maine and are taught by professional instructors/coaches certified by U.S. Figure Skating with assistance from NAFSC Jr. Coaches. Skaters are divided into groups by age and ability. Skaters will be tested as they progress through the program.

Each LTS registration with the NAFSC Learn to Skate USA includes the $16 membership fee for the Learn to Skate USA Basic Skills Membership.
